Director of Strategy and Operations appointed
CEEC is delighted to announce the appointment of Rev Canon John Dunnett
as Director of Strategy and Operations (f/t) from 1st February 2022.
He will work as part of the staff team and with volunteers from across the evangelical networks to help fulfil the CEEC’s vision.
John joins the CEEC team from CPAS, where he has been General Director since 2006.

Director of Communications appointed.
CEEC is delighted to announce the appointment of Helen Catt as Director of Communications (p/t) from November 2021.
Helen has worked in Corporate Communications since 2003, for PR agencies and in-house, including a number of years at London Business School. Her work has straddled global corporations, governments and not for profit organisations and she has managed multi-market PR teams to build and protect reputations through a variety of media campaigns.
Helen and her family are committed members of the Church of England in north London.
National Director appointed
The Bishop of Birkenhead, Rt Rev Keith Sinclair, has been announced as National Director of CEEC,
with effect from April 27th, 2021.
The President of CEEC, Rt Rev Julian Henderson, Bishop of Blackburn said: ''I am delighted to welcome Keith as our first National Director for many years. Keith and I have long worked together as episcopal colleagues, and I know that he will be a National Director whose heart’s desire is for the Church of England to be strengthened through the clear teaching of mainstream Christian doctrine, as found in Scripture, and thus be equipped for the re-evangelisation of England.”

Evangelical Alliance write to Prime Minister regarding conversion therapy
The Evangelical Alliance has written to the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, outlining how current proposals being considered by the Government on conversion therapy could pose a direct threat to religious liberty and restrict personal freedoms.
The letter, which recognises the harmful practices of religious groups in the past, highlights the possibility that these measures could result in criminalising Christians and common church activities.

Hereford Diocesan Synod
The Officers of CEEC note with sadness the passing of a motion by Hereford Diocesan Synod on 19th October asking the House of Bishops to commend an Order of Prayer and Dedication after the registration of a Civil Partnerships or a Same Sex marriage. Contrary to the motion, the Officers believe that such a provision could not be drafted without a departure from the Church of England’s understanding of marriage.
