The church leaders who have signed the Covenant was revealed at 9am on December 19th. The response to a number of questions was also given.

CEEC support for new Covenant for the C of E

On Dec 12th, a Covenant for the Church of England was presented to the Archbishop of Canterbury. Drafted by a group of leading evangelical and charismatic scholars, the Covenant has been signed by many church leaders including Bp Wallace Benn, the president of CEEC and by the Revd Dr Richard Turnbull, its chairman.

CEEC support given to Archbishop Yong Ping Chung's defence of the Kigali Communique

The CEEC Council has written to the Church Times (October 20th issue) to support Archbishop Yong Ping Chung in his defence of the Kigali Communique. The Dean of Southwark has attacked the Communique in a letter to the Church Times claiming that it is "unrepresentative, sectarian, unAnglican, and colonialist."
